Ypres and Battlefields
Language & Cultural Tour in Belgium
2018 marks the 100th anniversary ‘The War To End All Wars’, sadly we now know this not to be true. Ardmore Educational Travel invites you to join us in Northern France in a spirit of remembrance for those lost in The First World War.
This tour offers a fascinating and sobering insight into WW1 and the lives of the soldiers who fought there. Offering a “gateway” into this devastating era and featuring topics from the history curriculum, it includes not only the well-known and often visited cemeteries and monuments, but also off-the-beaten track sights as well. For your students to gain the most from your excursions you will be accompanied by a professional and experienced, local guide.
From listening to the “Last Post” at the Menin Gate to a visit to the uplifting Talbot House (a respite from the horrors of the trenches), this itinerary will fully engage your students and provide a compelling background to their studies at school.
